Terms, privacy & accessibility

The short version: this entire site is a design demonstration. Nothing here is a real utility, a real offer, or a real data collection.

1. Concept demonstration

"CivicPower" is a fictional company created by Oxvelo to demonstrate how a major utility's website can achieve a premium design standard alongside full accessibility, privacy, and security compliance. All statistics, rates, outage figures, addresses, and phone numbers (which use the fictional 555-01XX range) are illustrative. No part of this site provides real utility service, and no emergency contact shown here reaches an actual utility.

2. Use of this site

You're welcome to browse, review, and share this concept for evaluation purposes. The design system, copy, and code are provided as a demonstration and may not be represented as the website of any real utility company.

3. Privacy

This demo collects no personal information. Forms are intentionally non-functional: nothing you type is transmitted, stored, or processed. The only client-side storage is a single localStorage key remembering your cookie-banner choice, which never leaves your browser.

4. Cookies

The cookie banner is included to demonstrate a compliant consent pattern. In this demo, declining and accepting have the same effect — no analytics or tracking cookies exist to decline.

5. Do not sell my personal information

We hold no personal information, so there is nothing to sell, share, or delete. In a production deployment this section would host the CCPA/CPRA opt-out mechanism.

6. Accessibility statement

This concept is built to WCAG 2.1 AA: semantic landmarks, a skip link, visible focus indicators, AA-contrast color pairs, reduced-motion and high-contrast support, and labeled form controls. If you find an accessibility barrier in this demo, we genuinely want to hear about it via the contact page.

7. Questions

For questions about the demonstration or the compliance methodology behind it, visit oxvelo.com or run the scan linked in the banner above.
